My specialties include NSSI (non-suicidal self-injurious behaviors), codependency, and addictions utilizing an approach primarily from DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), an evidenced-based treatment to help manage impulsivity and intense emotions that incorporates CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and mindfulness. I facilitate therapy groups as well as work with individuals and families.

S H I N E: Self-Help for Those in Need of Empowerment!

This is a DBT skills group for individuals who may self-harm, want to be able to make healthy choices, and implement change in their lives.

In this group, individuals will learn healthy coping skills to implement in the moment of distress, improve self-esteem through experiential and role play activities within the group, manage emotions in order to successfully navigate daily life challenges, and improve relationships with others through practicing assertive communication skills. Meet others with similar experiences in this fun and effective group!

There are two ongoing, weekly groups offered:

Teen DBT Skills Group: Wednesdays from 6:30-8:15pm
Young Adult DBT Skills Group (ages 18 to 20 something):
Thursdays from 6:30-8:00pm
